Things to do on Fuerteventura
The Famous Beaches
There are around 125 miles of beaches on Fuerteventura with many in the north of the island.

The Corralejo Grandes Playas - The beaches to the south of Corralejo, along the east coast, are situated in the Parque Natural de Corralejo, designated as a National Park. Those between Corralejo and the two large hotels are where the majority of the water sports such as surfing, windsurfing and kite boarding are based. And beyond the hotels are many of the large dunes for which it is famous for. A walk along the beach is a lovely way to pass a couple of hours; more if you like to stay a while.

El Cotillo - The white sandy beaches stretch for miles to the south of El Cotillo. They are on the west coast of the island (a 15 minute leisurely drive from the villa) and therefore the waves tend to be larger than average. The size of the beaches means that even on a busy day it is possible to have lots of space to yourself.

Naturism, or nudism is acceptable all over Fuerteventura, but with so much beach available they tend to use the quieter stretches of beaches away from the general family holidaymakers.

Windsurfer, Surfers, Kite Surfers and Boogyboarders

As with windsurfing, Fuerteventura has become a Mecca for surfers, boogy boarders and kite surf fanatics and offers a variety of conditions depending on the time of year you choose to come especially during the autumn and winter months with the advent of the large Atlantic swells.
